Jean-Philippe Lamoureux

I’ve been coaching youth and elite level goalies for over 22 years and have a passion for goaltender skill development. Growing up without a consistent goalie coach at the most crucial point in my development, I sought out mentorship and training from amateur and professional goalies and coaches; including Karl Goehring and Ian Clark. I recognize the importance of having knowledgeable coaches to achieve success and longevity in goaltending and have the professional experience and expertise to be that mentor for my clients.

My philosophy on goaltending instruction includes four major components; technique, mindset, vision, and mobility. In order to be an elite goaltender, one must excel in all of these components. Throughout my professional career, I’ve developed methods to enhance these areas in which I used daily as a professional goaltender and share exclusively with my clients. After completing a p17 year pro playing career, I have come full-circle and am back working with the University of North Dakota Men’s Hockey team. As a proud Grand Forks native, I enjoy connecting with the community and am passionate about developing our local talent as well as enhancing the goaltending knowledge of our area coaches.
